Saw a lovely game called far!

I watched a lovely letsplay on YouTube. Called Far. Kinda Steampunkish and involved Sails and Steam.

Made me want to build this.
Now I know the game has bigger wheels. But I had this Diesel Train lying about.
Got to still strengthen it more and add detail.

Currently I am happy with the build.

More stuff to make

I found this set of Multi-Head Screwdriver bits in Poundland.
Does have some useful heads I haven't already got. A most elusive triangle headed bit for taking the Diecasts I buy off their bases. Plus some Torque bits as well.

What struck me though was the Useful shape of the Perspex cover.

The Cover placed on a base and spares from the parts box stuck around it. Undercoated the cover in Black for later painting.
The bottom of it can also be turned upside down and makes a kind of Generator or Turbine looking thing.
I may have to get some more for a bit more experimentation. All the spare screwdriver heads are in a plastic ziplock.

Malifaux Figures. Plus GW Wolves of Titanic Proportions!

I have a few Malifaux miniatures. Mainly the Human cowboy looking ones. Though I do have some of the Witchlings as well.

Plus the wolves!

A size Comparison with Malifaux figure.

Very nice wolves. Just a tad large!

Kinder expansions for my secret base.

Here are those kinder type containers with paint liberally applied and further bits from the spares box added.

The Group Photo. Including the gravy lid and two of those bottle tops that I think are a squirty waste of time! But they do make nice generators or capstone thingies. Just remove the see through bits prime and paint the remainder. Then replace see through bit.

This one has part of an old camera I was given sitting on top of it. I believe it is the lens of the camera. Makes quite a good techie bit on top of this chemical still.
Kinder thingy on it's side. With added ball headed pins on either side of an electrical component on top.
Similar to the one above. But this time I added some tank road wheels which I have an abundance of as I found them on loads of sprues at a swap meet. 20p A sprue. Again capacitors and ball headed pins for extra detail.
These guys can be added all over the place on my secret base. Refuelling stations or processing and storage. Simple but effective.

National History Museum Skeleton

I picked up this for £3 in my local "The Works."
There are also available.
A T-Rex I think is about 28mm scale
A Raptor Not in scale unless you may want a Utah Raptor
A Sauropod. Possible a Diplodocus. Definitely not in scale.

I only got this one The Trike. Not bad detail. Painted already though I daresay some adjustment could be made.

They come inside a Plastic Dinosaur Egg as a snap-fit kit.

I am tempted to make a museum stand.

My new works in progress. Plus some finished.

Here are some things I have been working on.

2 different types of Die-cast Thunderbird 3. I found cheap in Tesco and the Entertainer.

This is the smaller die-cast one. Probably use it for smaller interception missiles. I can take it off the base and stand it separately. No Launch platform at the moment.

This is the bigger of the 2 Die-cast models. Ideal as a scenario objective.

Next some small plastic Dinosaurs I found in B&m in a small "Bucket o Dinos" £2.99 for a load of small scale dinosaurs. But these can be used as Raptors.
Just a bit of a repaint and basing. The others I can use for 6 or 15mm scale figs.

And finally. Some Kinder type plastic shells to make pressure/storage vessels. Add on bits from the spare parts box. I like to examine "Let's Plays" on YouTube. This idea came from planetbase. Looking at the surrounding equipment around the constructed domes.

They will be added to My Secret Base! Once painted up.

Another trip to a Toy Fair Coming up!

This Sunday 13th of May 2018.

I will be heading off to Walsall Wood for the Toyfair that is held every few months.

http://www.transtar-promotions.co.uk/

It is 2 buses for me but very cheap to get into.

Never do know what you may find for "Wargaming Pleasures"

Anything from Diecast cars, Trains, Aircraft and Sci-fi. Plastic model kits, cheap brushes, paint or scatter materials.

Even the odd wargame figure.

I go to buy cheap and much! On this occasion I will be looking for more useful building materials. Bridge Girders, Supports, old Airfix stuff like the Pontoon Bridge would be great.

But it is a very diverse show and something else may well inspire me.

Check out the link if you live in the Midlands.
